Prayer Campaign: Day 37

Praying for Workers
“Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.  Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.  Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people,  because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free. ” (Ephesians 6:5-8)

Pray for the appreciation of workers and respect for each profession, for fair wages and  for decent work.
Let us pray today for a change in the vision we have of working. Being a worker is to be obedient to God's Word and not being punished by Him. From the beginning, God willed that man worked. With sin there was rather a change of perspective, but Christ restores it as blessing.
To work, to serve others is rather a way to imitate Christ. Jesus worked and it was not little. He worked a lot!
Do not work is to sin. Laziness is a sin!
Let us pray also for those who, on the other hand, value their jobs too much, reaching almost to the level of idolatry. Peolple who work so much that they do not have time for family, friends, even for themselves ... Let us pray for these people, that they may learn to balance and work without losing sight of the importance of enjoying what  working
 provides us.
