Praying for Politicians
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions,
prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all
people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all
godliness and holiness.” (1 Timothy 2:1-2)
“In the Lord’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water
that he channels toward all who please him.” (Proverbs 21:1)

Yeah,
though it is hard, we must pray for politicians.
Of
course they´re not perfect and in our country we frequently see them involved
in corruption scandals.
But,
God instructs us to pray for them. They need God.
Another
reason to pray for politicians is that God can touch them in favour of His
people. God is sovereign and is in control. He works the way He desires, and
His ways are not clear for us all the time. But He is taking care of those who
love Him.
Let´s
pray for our President, her ministers, deputys, governors, senators, city
councilors and assessors.
