December 26

  • People are not fearing the Lord properly.
  • Many situations happen because of the lack of the fear of the Lord.
  • Jesus is a problem solver. But more than solving problems, He wishes to prevent us to get in trouble.
  • We must know Gods commandments and keep them. That´s the way to be free from many problems.
  • The first concern we must have is to keep God´s commandments in our hearts! Before anything else!

  • First, delight in the Lord and then He will satisfy the desires of your heart! Obey the Lord!

  • Making plans is ok! But commit whatever you do to the Lord to succeed!
  • Fearing the Lord, man avoids evil!
  • Bad days will come, challenges, trouble can come... But many situations can be avoided!
"When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone´s way, he causes their enemies to make peace with them. Better a little with righteousness than much gain with injustice. In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps." Proverbs 16:7-9

  • Have this confidence: you will not live alone!

"Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is the one
who trusts in the Lord." Proverbs 16:20
  • Hear the Lord and His instructions!
  • Specially as a new year is begginig, commit your plans to the Lord and He will determine your success!

"The Lord then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family , because I have found you righteous in this generation. Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, and also seven pairs of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth. Seven days from now I will send raind on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made." And Noah did all that the Lord commanded him. Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came on the earth." (Genesis 7:1-6)

The Ark and The Church

  • Places of diversity
  • Places of unity
  • Places for salvation. It´s a safe place! Outside both, only death and destruction
  • To live there you will have to submit yourself to rules
  • Inside no one is more important... You have a leader and his helpers, and the survivors, very different but with the same importance

Do not jump out of the ark!

"But God remembered Noah and all the animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded."  "After forty days Noah opened a window he had made in the ark and sent out a raven, and it kept flying back and forth until the water had dried up from the earth. Then he sent out a dove to see if the water had receded from the surface of the ground. But the dove could find nowhere to perch because there was water over all the surface of the earth; so it returned to Noah in the ark. He reached out his hand and took the dove and brought it back to himself in the ark. He waited seven more days and again sent out the dove from the ark. When the dove returned to him in the evening, there in its beack was a freshly plucked olive leaf! Then Noah knew that the water had receded from the earth. He waited seven more days and sent the dove out again, but this time it did not return to him." (Genesis 8:1, 6-12)

Noah needed to know how it was out of the Ark. He decides to drop out two different birds: a raven and a dove.
Ravens feed on almost everything and also roteness. Doves can´t.
Ravens are associated with death and dirt while doves are a symbol of hope, peace, holiness.

Noah realeases the crow
  •  It flies back and forth. It ate everything. Like some church members that come and go, stretching hands inside the church but also stretching hands outside to receive offerings from the devil. People who take advantage from the shelter of the church to be protected from life storms, but as long as the storm ceases, they fly away.
  • Raven is not commited to others
  • The only thing the raven brought back was a bad breath. Like people who have nothing to give but bad feelings, criticisms, emotional trash

Noah releases a dove
  • At first, it cannot find rest for its feet. As you sometimes can´t feel peace when invited to parties or when an opportunity of investment or business comes to your hands. The Holy Spirit makes you feel this way. So, "return to the Ark"!
  • And another time Noach sends the dove and it brings an olive branch, that represents new life. Be like this dove and bring good news.
  • Bear fruits!
  • And again Noah sent the dove but it did not return. When you get mature enough, spiritually, God will sent you to do His work.

October 3rd

"2 He had two wives; one was called Hannah and the other Peninnah. Peninnah had children, but Hannah had none. 4 Whenever the day came for Elkanah to sacrifice, he would give portions of the meat to his wife Peninnah and to all her sons and daughters. 5 But to Hannah he gave a double portion because he loved her, and the Lord had closed her womb. 6 Because the Lord had closed Hannah´s womb, her rival kept provoking her in order to irritate her. 7This went on year after year. Whenever Hannah went up to the house of the Lord, her rival provoked her till she wept and would not eat." (1 Samuel 1:2, 4-7)

Our God is a God of compensations!

Hannah didn´t have children and Peninnah had children. However their husband loved more Hannah, although she didn´t give him children. This is a compensation.

To Peninnah and her children, Elkanah used to give portions of the meat. But to Hannah, Elkanah used to give a double portion. Hannah was alone, but she received more love and a double portion...

Hannah was provoked year after year... And nobody likes to be provoked... Every time she went to the church she was provoked till the point of crying...

Evil people can provoke you saying they have exactly what you want!

"As she kept on praying to the Lord, Eli observed her mouth. Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were movint but her voice was hot hear. Eli thought she was drunk and said to her, "How long are you going to stay drunk? Put awa your wine."" Not so, my lord," Hannah replied, "I am a women who is deeply troubled. I have not been drinking wine or beer; I was pouring out my soul to the Lord. Do not take your servant for a wicked woman; I have been praying here out my great anguish and grief." (1Samuel 1:12-16)

Hannah did not replied to the provokation... She did not behave the same way her rival did. She waited for the Lord! She presented to the Lord her problem.

Although sometimes we wish to give a natural solution, if we keep on answering to provocation, if we keep on provoking, this will never cease!

"Eli answered, "Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of him." She said, "May your servant find favor in your eyes. "Then she went her way and ate something, and her face was no longer downcast." (1 Samuel 1:17-18)

Hannah did not received immediately her request. She did not left the presence of the priest pregnant.

You will not probably receive your miracle in a sudden. You will have to wait upon the Lord.

But after praying, as Hannah, you will be filled by peace! You will be able to rise up your head!

Hannah was not pregnant yet, but she got rid of sorrow... She could eat! Depressed people, said people usually stop eating.

"Early the next morning they arose and worshiped before the Lord and then went back to their home at Ramah. Elkanah made love to his wife Hannah, and the Lord remembered her. So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, "Because I asked the Lord for him." "(1 Samuel 1:19-20)

  • You still can do something big in 2015.
  • Although we are almost in the end of the year, we still have more than a hundred days. And God needed just 6 days to create the universe.
  • If you want a different result you´ll need a different attitude. Do something different! Act different! Pray different!
  • If it´s necessary, change your relationships. Wrong people around you can be very dangerous for you to succeed.
  • Don´t try to please everybody! Nehemiah had a mission to accomplish but he also had a lot of people around him trying to put him down. Jesus didn´t please everybody! Live a life to please God!
  • Be dedicated and constant! Do not do nothing as it was not important. You will not accomplish anything without being constant. Be better than you! Keep in mind that you are working for the King!
  • Make plans for your financial life. Save money. Choose to live simple. Choose to feel happy.
  • Let the past go away. If you keep bringing trash from your past you are going to kill a bright future God has for you.

"Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,"
(Matthew 24:12)

"If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. " (Matthew 24:22)

You are living the last days... Love is growing cold... Wickedness is increasing...

Time is passing fast...

It´s time more than ever to seek for holiness, to be careful with what you watch on TV, places you are going, the way you behave...
You can´t be conformed to the pattern of this world!
Keep your heart from this sinful system!
Stand firm till the end and be saved!
Ask Jesus to help you to stand firm!
Don´t complain when you feel 24 hours are not enough to accomplish all your plans! Thank God the days are cut short! Praise God!

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.  Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." (Romans 12:1-2)

Your daily life must be a spiritual act of worship... When you turn off the tv, when you refuse to listen to an inappropriate song, your conversations...
Remember that worship is not only about raising up your hands and singing songs!
If you want to see the will of God in your life you ought to do something first: you can´t conform to the pattern of this world.
God is merciful and patient!
He is giving you chances to do what is right.
He wants to help you to stand firm!
The Holy Spirit wants to help you to be holy!
He can help you to discern between wrong and right!
Call out for His help!

September 5th

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." (Matthew 6:25-34)

Why do you worry?
It´s so difficult...
Jesus teaches you not to worry, but you worry...
Jesus said don´t worry because He knows what you need.
When parents say to their children to not do something, to not go to a certain place, to not talk to strangers, children tend to question? Why not?
Remember that God calls you His child!
And if He says to you to not worry, He knows why you should not worry.
Jesus Himself is saying look at the birds! Observe them! And He is saying that you are more valuable.
Have this confidence!
You have a heavenly Father!
The One who feeds the birds calls you much more valuable!
He knows what you need.
He knows and this should be enough.
He has an appropriate time to give you what you need.
If God promised, He will suply your needs, He will.
Sometimes you ask for things that you don´t need for real.
And this brings sadness, despair...

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
(Phillippians 4: 7)

Believe and bring to your mind that you don´t need to worry!
Pray!
When you pray you cast your anxieties on Him!
Present to God your needs!
He knows everything but He wants to listen to you and guard your heart with His peace!

"In vain you rise early
and stay up late,
toiling for food to eat—
for he grants sleep to those he loves.(Psalm 127 :2)

"Since ancient times no one has heard,
no ear has perceived,
no eye has seen any God besides you,
who acts on behalf of those who wait for him."
(Isaiah 64:4)

Remember this!

"When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”
 Mark 2:5
What is Jesus saying about your faith?
When He looks at you, is He finding faith?
What is Jesus thinking about your faith?
When Jesus sees your faith, your sins are forgiven. So you must have faith to receive forgiveness.
The plan of salvation is done! But if you don´t have faith you will carry the burden of sin on your shoulders.

"He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm."
Matthew 8:26

In this situation, Jesus sees faith but He calls it little.
That´s why disciples were afraid.
Doubt/fear does not match with faith.
Your faith must be exercised otherwise it will become weak.

"The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you" Luke 17:5-6
You can ask the Lord to increase your faith.
You don´t ask something like the mulberry tree to move because you don´t believe...
Having faith is the only way to survive!
Ask the Lord to increase your faith.
"And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith." Matthew 13:58
That´s why you don´t see more miracles... You lack faith!
May God have mercy!
"When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him,“Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith."
Matthew 8:10
What command is God given when He looks to your faith?
"What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food.  If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?" James 2:14-20
God is teaching you that you must have faith and must do something in accordance with your faith.
You need to apply your faith.
Start doing something to work your faith out!
Will your faith overcome fear or will it be overcome by fear?
If you don´t use your faith is the same of don´t having it!
What difference does it make?!
