Prayer Campaign: Day 64

Praying for 2014
Praying for Personal Projects

Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this” (Psalms 37:4-5)

Construction

An old carpenter who built houses was ready to retire. Reported to the chief his desire to leave the construction industry and spend more time with his family.
Also said he would miss the paycheck, but really wanted to retire.
The company would not be much affected by the output of a carpenter, but the boss was sad to see a good employee leaving
and asked the carpenter to work on a project as a favor.
The carpenter did not like, but eventually agreed. And it was easy to see that he was not enthusiastic about the idea.
Thus continued doing a second quality service and using inappropriate materials.
Was a negative way he finished his career.
When the carpenter finished, his boss came to do the inspection of the house built.
He gave the key to the carpenter and said, "This is your home.
It is my gift to you. "
The carpenter was very surprised.
What a pity!
If he had known he was building his own house, he would have done everything different.
The same happens to us.
We build our lives, one day at a time and often making less than the best possible construction.
Then, surprise, we found that we need to live in the house we built.
If we could do it over again, we would do things differently.
But we can´t go back.
You are the carpenter. Every day hammering nails, adjusting planks and building walls.
Someone once said that "Life is a project that builds yourself."
Your attitudes and choices today are building the "house" that you will live in tomorrow. Build wisely!

Delight yourself also in the LORD. Psalm 37:4. Delighting in the Lord is to desire and enjoy the intimacy of His presence and truthfulness and justice of His Word, see Job 22:26; 27.10, Isaiah 58.14. Those who delight in the Lord, God meets the desire of their hearts. God will answer the longing of the heart of the Christian, if this desire is in accordance with His will, see John 15:7. When we delight in God and His will, God Himself puts into our hearts desires that He intends to fulfill, see Philippians 2:13. The righteous afflicted by the sins of the world, have the following promises: 1 - Answers to prayers, see Psalm 37.4,5. 2 - Vindication of his righteous standards, see Psalm 37.6. 3 - A heavenly inheritance, see Psalm 37.9,11,34. 4 - The powerful help of the Lord's, direction, protection and presence of the Lord, see Psalm 37. 23 to 25.28. 5- Salvation, see Psalm 37.39.
