Hi, dear friend!
Last Saturday we celebrated "Thanksgiving Day". Actually, we should thank God every day for who He is and for all He has done for us.
David recognized that God is awesome and the owner of everything. In 1 Chronicles 29:10-13 it's written: "David praised the LORD in the presence of the whole assembly, saying, “Praise be to you, O LORD, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.”
PSALM 116.12-14 says: "How can I repay the LORD for all his goodness to me? - I will lift up the cup of salvation and I will call on the name of the LORD. I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all His people."
The least that we can do is to bow down before the Lord and worship Him. What can we offer the Lord, what can we give Him back, for all his goodness, all His benefits towards us?
Romans 12:1 - “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God— this is your spiritual act of worship.”
So, I encourage you to offer yourself as a living, holy and pleasing sacrifice to God, as a thanksgiving offering. This is true worship.
I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL OF YOU WHO BROUGHT DELICIOUS FOOD LAST SATURDAY FOR THE THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION (cakes, candies, chicken pie, snacks, soda, the turkey, juice and fruit...). Thank you so much! God multiply His blessings on you and prosper you in everything you do!
