  •  Mark 6:30-44 -Hunger is a concern of humanity since the very beggining.
  • One of the biggest worries of scientists about future of mankind is hunger.
  • Currently, according to the UN, about 800 million people around the world are starving.
  •  On the other hand, about a third of what we produce ends up in the trash.  1.3 billion tons of food per year. Enough to feed 2 billion people ... Two times we need to feed the hungry.
  •  Another interesting fact is that the more developed the country, the greater the waste.
  •  This waste takes place at the stage of harvest there in the field, but even in our homes, when something rots because it was forgotten in the refrigerator bottom.
  • In all these steps, most waste  step happens at the supermarket. Any agricultural product that does not come in the appropriate color or shape, or has a mark, a bruise, will not go to the shelf to be sold.

  • We act that way about many choices we make in our lives ... Other people looking from outside, do not understand why a simple solving situation remains unsolved. This can happen because before a problem we  often took our eyes from the heart of the problem, we distort the focus ... We don´t see clearly, because we do not know the problem thoroughly, do not understand the extent of the situation we are facing, because we rush or like the disciples we are very tired ...
  • In some situations we feel helpless, not knowing how to help. Jesus wanted to teach the disciples that they could do much more than they thought they could. They had their eyes on themselves and in the circumstances. They were not with the eyes of and in Jesus. They were tired, exhausted, and sought a way out of that situation. But the Lord wrapped them again and they ended up having a very rich experience with the Master, learning that could feed multitudes. They saw that it was possible to take another step.

  • Sometimes, we suffer a lot of time with a problem because we put our eyes on what we think we must have , instead of looking at what we have.Maybe instead of praying for things that you have not, you need to ask God to multiply what you have ...

  • You may not feel good  enough or able or worthy... Or perhaps you think you have so little that you have nothing to share… Maybe you see with carnal eyes ... But take a look to the examples of men in the Bible:Noah was a farmer and did the work of an engineer; Abram that was old was called to be the father of Israel; Moses had difficulty to speak but talked to a whole nation and to Pharaoh ...  Even Jesus´appearance was not attractive  (Isaiah 53:13).

  • Do not set your eyes in material things ... Lot, when separated from Abram, chose a place to live because it seemed beautiful. (Genesis 13:10).  He looked with earthly eyes and forgot to look at the "heart" of Sodom. And we know what happened ...
  • Samuel was up to anoint a new king for Israel (1 Samuel 16), as soon as he saw Eliab, he thought by their appearance, that he would be the new king. God told Samuel: "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.
  • Watch your eyes!
    Where are your eyes?
In times of crisis, we fear a shortage because we  look what we have in hand as merely as “five loaves and two fish” ...
We look at death, and do not look to Jesus who said that those who believe in him even though he dies will live. John 11:25
Take your eyes off the crowd ... Put your eyes on Jesus.
Take your eyes off the TV, the scandals especially within the Church and put your eyes on Jesus ...
Look at the crowd, look to the scandals, look to the news and see death ..
Look at Jesus and see hope, see life!
