Psalm 23

A psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil,
for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Similarities between us and sheep
- Are we following our Pastor?
- Are we listening to His voice?
- Are we recognizing His voice?
- Are we looking forward wishing things or are we resting in the assurance that He cares for us?

As a shepherd cares for his sheep, our Pastor also takes care of everything for us. Actually, He does more: He is able to restore the depths of our souls.
Our Pastor wants to help us in our choices. Before so many questions and options that life offers, He wants to help us to decide the best.

Even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, he will be with us. Our pastor walks with us!
