PSALM 139
Pr. Silvana
This psalm is one of the most beautiful psalms written by David. It expresses the power, wisdom, knowledge and sovereignity of God. How marvelous are His works!
I want you to know that God created you in an amazing way and He knows all about you. He loves you with an unfailing love.
Take your time to read parts of this psalm and to read the "Father's love letter", which tells about His love for you.
May the Holy Spirit bring peace and joy into your heart!
Enjoy the reading and be blessed!

Becoming a Real Friend of God
John 15:12-17
12 My
command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater
love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You
are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer
call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business.
Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my
Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but
I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit —fruit that
will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. 17 This
is my command: Love each other.
When we confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are declaring our belief,
our admiration, our love, and our friendship for Him.
- Remember: obeying God’s word is the # 1 way to prove our friendship for Him.
- We will come into situations in which God will test or prove our friendship like he did to Abraham.
Obey = to follow a commandment
A real friend
of God DOES NOT just:
- Go to church every Sunday;
- Follow the doctrines of a church;
- Act as a good person;
A real friend
of God:
- Acts with faith;
- Asks for guidance;
- Obeys His word (Bible).
Matthew 22:37-39
37 Jesus
replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with
all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and
greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love
your neighbor as yourself.’
Loving God and loving my neighbor as
myself means: PRODUCING FRUITS.
Galatians
5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness
and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
The
word of God in Colossians 3:12 further instructs us to act with:
•
Compassion;
•
Kindness;
•
Humility;
•
Gentleness;
•
Patience.
All
of those five qualities can also establish great relationships and demonstrate
the love of God towards other people.
Conclusion:
• God has called us to be His friends;
• A friendship with God requires
obedience;
• A true Christian demonstrates God’s
love towards others.

“The
Favor of The Lord”
Pr. Silvana
God is the same “yesterday, today and tomorrow”. What He did for His
people Israel in the past, He still does for us…
} Exodus 3.21-22 - “And I will make
the Egyptians favorably disposed toward this people, so that when
you leave you will not go empty-handed. Every woman is
to ask her neighbor and any woman living in her house for articles of
silver and gold and for clothing, which you will put on your sons and
daughters. And so you will plunder the Egyptians.”
} Exodus 11.2-3 – “Tell the people that men
and women alike are to ask their neighbors for articles of silver and gold.” (The Lord made
the Egyptians favorably disposed toward the people, and Moses
himself was highly regarded in Egypt by Pharaoh’s officials and by the
people.)
Exodus
12.35-36 – “The
Israelites did as Moses instructed and asked the Egyptians for articles of
silver and gold and for clothing. The Lord had
made the Egyptians favorably disposed toward the people, and
they gave them what they asked for; so they plundered the
Egyptians.”
Read below some promises from the Word of God and take
possession of them. Believe!!! It’s for you…
} Job 27.16-17 – “Though he (the wicked)
heaps up silver like dust and clothes like piles of clay, what
he lays up the righteous will wear, and the innocent will divide his
silver.”
} Proverbs 13.22 – “A good man leaves an
inheritance for his children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for
the righteous.”
} Ecclesiastes 2.26a – “To the man who pleases
Him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner He gives
the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who
pleases God.”
God is sovereign! He
is always in control. People’s hearts are in His hands. He can cause people to
be favorable to you.
} Daniel 1.9 – “Now God had caused the official to show
favor and sympathy to Daniel.”
} Proverbs 3.4 – “Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.”
} Acts 2.46-47 – “Every day they continued
to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their
homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And
the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
} Psalm 90.17 – “May the favor of the Lord our God rest
upon us; establish the work of our hands for us — yes,
establish the work of our hands.”
}
God, according to His perfect and good will,
can make people around us (boss, neighbor, family member, leader, etc.) favorably disposed toward us, if we please Him. May the favor of
the Lord be on you!!!
