Prayer Campaign: Day 50

Praying for Fellowship

“How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard,  running down on Aaron's beard, down on the collar of his robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.” (Psalm 133)

Pray for unity among the members of the body which is the church.

Pray for the end of individualism that prevents the church to thrive.

Pray for the appreciation of each member within the whole.

Let us pray for mutual respect.

Let us pray for wisdom to deal with the differences of others.

Let us ask God to give us hearts willing to forgive.

Ask God for wisdom to help the brothers in their needs.

Pray remembering about the first Christians who gathered not like as for  a social event, but who were eager to grow together in faith.

Let us remember that we are all dependent on each other, liking this or not, we do not live in isolation.

Therefore, imperfect as our relationships are, we must devote energy to them that they become less imperfect as possible.

THAT BROTHERS LIVE TOGETHER IN UNITY.
This psalm expresses the same spiritual truth in John 17, when Jesus of Nazareth prayed that his disciples might be grounded in love, holiness and unity. Jesus knew that the Holy Spirit could not operate between them with divisions caused by sin and selfish ambitions of the brethren, see 1 Corinthians 1.10-13; 3.1-3. On the other hand, fervent love for God and neighbor, ally to sanctification in the Truth of God's Word, Jesus Christ will make is between yours and anoint, see John 17:21, Ephesians 4.3.
