Praying
for the end of racism
“So in Christ
Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for
all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed
yourselves with Christ. There
is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are
all one in Christ Jesus. If
you belong to Christ, then
you are Abraham’s seed, and
heirs according to
the promise.”
(Galatians 3:26-29)
Pray that we truly understand
that all human beings were created in the image and likeness of God and that
for all the Lord Jesus gave His life on the Cross.
Let us pray for
understanding to realize what it is to love one another as we love ourselves,
that is, to love impartially. All forms of humiliation and racial prejudice
devalue people, diminish God's creation and are affronts to the deeds of Christ
on the cross.
